HISTORY

Special Lights was established in 1938 by an Austrian family who migrated to Australia after building a successful lighting business in Vienna.

The business was originally located in the Royal Arcade in the city, before expanding into offices in Artarmon and Chatswood. In 2003 the current owners took over the business, with the head office moving to Surry Hills in 2005.

With its European heritage, Special lights has always had a strong history of importing high quality, European products, and we continually review our products to enhance our range.

In 2003, we started our Design Services division, providing end-to end lighting design solutions that cater to the needs of mid-high end residential customers and commercial projects.
